Receipts, not vibes.
A point of view on portfolios, proof, and the difference between followers and believers.
Trading lives on screenshots. We took our wins, cropped the sides, posted them, and called it credibility. For a long time, that was enough — because nothing better existed and because the market for proof was small.
That market is no longer small. There are profitable traders who aren’t just trading — they’re building. Audiences, practices, mentorship businesses, paid communities. They have students, subscribers, sponsorship inbounds. They have a brand. And the thing that brand rests on — the actual record — is still being communicated through screenshots.
A portfolio is a thesis. The page where it lives should feel like one.
The problem with screenshots
A screenshot is a claim. It is also infinitely fakeable, easily cherry-picked, impossible to verify, and ages badly. The two groups it serves worst are the people we care about most: profitable traders trying to communicate a real record, and their audience trying to evaluate them.
The honest among us paid a tax for this — every claim of performance came with an asterisk in the audience’s mind. The dishonest extracted the difference.
What we’re building
tradefolio.fun is a premium portfolio platform. Not a social network — there are enough of those. Not a feed — you’ve already lost too much of your day to feeds. A portfolio: a single, shippable, beautiful page that is the answer to the question “who are you?” when someone asks.
We split the platform along two axes. The presentation axis cares about typography, motion, restraint, and the feeling of a luxury object. The substance axis cares about verification, append-only history, and what we can prove.
The presentation should match the substance — and the substance should be provable.
Verified is not a checkmark
Most platforms verify identity. We verify numbers. A Verified Stats snapshot on tradefolio.fun is a canonical document: the figures are extracted from a source, hashed, signed by a rotating key, and stored append-only. Re-rendering the profile re-verifies the snapshot. Anyone can run the same verification at a public URL.
We don’t verify futures. We can’t — nobody can. We verify what was true at the time of the snapshot, and we keep it true forever.
Believers, not followers
The followers economy is broken in obvious ways. The believer economy is what comes after — smaller audiences, deeper trust, real money flowing to people who actually do the thing. tradefolio.fun is a tool for that economy. It’s not for you if you want to be a creator. It’s for you if you want to be a practice.
What this isn’t
- It isn’t signal sales.
- It isn’t a brokerage.
- It isn’t a leaderboard.
- It isn’t advice.
It is a page. A page that is yours, that holds up, that loads in a second, that looks like the work it represents.
If your edge is real, it deserves a page that says so.
Where this goes
We’ll add things slowly: verified gated content, custom domains that feel native, a small-but-loud Inner Circle for serious operators. We’ll resist things loudly: feeds, infinite scroll, engagement metrics, anything that cheapens the page.
The version of the platform you’re looking at today is the prologue. The next chapters are written in the roadmap. If any of this resonated — claim a handle. Stake the part of the internet that will hold your record.
